What We Fund
Grants are limited to projects that benefit the residents of Guilford County, North Carolina. Grants are awarded for new initiatives, expansions of current programs and activities, capital improvements, special projects, and other operating needs. Usually, grants are made for one year only; however, multi-year grants will be considered. Normally, the Foundation does not support campaigns to raise or increase the size of endowments or annual fund solicitations.
When We Award Grants
The Foundation Board of Directors normally meets three times annually to consider applications for grants. Meetings are scheduled one at a time. Please check the home page of our website for the next deadline.
Grant Payments
When applications have been approved by the Foundation Board, Grantees will receive a document stating the Terms and Conditions of the Grant. A check in payment of the grant award will also be included except in cases of a grant with a matching requirement or other special conditions.
Follow Up: Project Reports
Grant recipients are expected to make annual reports on their projects until the funds are spent in full. Note: Follow-Up reports must include a comparison of actual revenue and expenses to budgeted amounts and also any additional revenue sources. You will receive a reminder email prior to the deadline.
